King of Herbs

For thousands of years, ginseng has been viewed as a miracle of life because of its healing power. For this reason, the demand for ginseng has increased incredibly. In ancient China, ginseng was only reserved for emperors and the wealthiest. It is believed that ginseng has the ability to build resistance, reduce susceptibility to illness, and promote health and longevity. Written records in the use of ginseng can be traced as far back as to the Han Dynasty in the medical reference material, Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing, for approximately 5000 years. Ginseng is often referred as “King of Herbs” because of its appearance resembling human figures and its mystical properties in restoring health.

An Age Quake
With the increase in aging population and pressure on health care system, most people are not obtaining proper health care that they should have received. The impact of the baby boomer generation's aging on the health care system has been referred to as an age quake because medically, it is the equivalent of a massive earthquake. The demands on the system are enormous and growing. Delivering medical care to aging boomers and utilizing new medical technologies that will come into widespread use over the next 25 years could greatly increase medicare costs, posing financial risk to the government's health insurance program for the elderly, which already faces serious problems.
Over the next 15 years, more than 70 million Americans born between 1946 and 1964 will hit the half-century mark. For many baby boomers, this realization has prompted a quest to remain healthy and retain youthful vigor naturally with alternative health care.

A recent study was done on wellness industry in United States. The total number of such wellness business has increased over 200 percent for the 5 to 10 years. The statistics also indicated that the number continues to increase for the next 10 to 20 years. Many baby boomers are moving away from traditional model of “disease managements” medical care to a new model of preventive health care. Studies have shown that the majority of people who visit doctors are concerned about healthy eating habits, wellness and overall healthy lifestyles. The choice of health products helps prevent illnesses naturally. And alternative medicine has become one of the most recommended holistic remedies in (1) building immune system, (2) rejuvenation, (3) increasing blood circulations, and maintaining positive attributes. These are the main elements for maintaining total quality health.
